Golf

Golfing opportunities abound. The Apostle Islands Golf Course is about one mile from the Inn. Or try the Madeline Island Golf Club (715.747.3212).

Sailing

Charter a sailboat for the day or the week, bareboat or captained. Over 60 boats are available for charter out of Bayfield.

Around the Islands race week is a big event usually scheduled in July.

Camping

Enjoy crystal clear water and quiet beaches on Chequamegon Bay and Lake Superior. State Parks are available on Madeline Island and north of Bayfield. Dalrymple Campground (715.779.5712) is owned and operated by the city of Bayfield; Apostle Island Area Campground (715.779.5524) is 1/2 mile south of Bayfield; Buffalo Bay Campground and Marina (715.779.3743) is just north of Bayfield. Big Bay State Park is on Madeline Island (888.947.2757).

Lighthouses

The Island Princess provides scenic narrated cruises of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore: named one of the best tours in Wisconsin! Evening cruises, lighthouse cruises and tours are available. Reservations recommended (715.779.3925).

Madeline Island. The largest of the twenty-two Apostle Islands, Madeline Island has flown the flags of three nations. Madeline Island car and passenger ferries are the vital connection between La Pointe, Madeline Island, and Bayfield. The 20 minute trips are run every half hour during the summer. www.madferry.com
